Matt Hancock set to break Bushtucker trial record as I’m A Celeb fans plot to put him to the test | The Sun

MATT Hancock looks set to break an unwanted I'm A Celebrity record after his shock signing.

Bookies Betfair have him at 2/1 to be chosen to do the most Bushtucker Trials ever.

The record is currently held by music producer Naughty Boy, who fans gleefully watched squeal and sulk his way through seven trials in 2021.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Matt Hancock will be returning as a regular face on our TV screens this year after sensationally joining this year’s I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! cast.

"The former health secretary is 2/1 to surpass Naughty Boy’s record of seven by doing the most bushtucker trials in history, while he is 4/1 to be the first departure from the jungle.

"Since joining I’m a Celeb, Hancock has been suspended as a Tory MP and he is 10/1 to resign from the position before the New Year. He is 16/1 to win the show, with England legend Jill Scott the 3/1 favourite.”

The former Health Secretary is also an outside bet at 10/1 to be crowned king of the jungle.

Meanwhile Matt has infuriated SAS Who Dares Wins bosses after signing up to its rival show on ITV.

His move has angered those working on SAS – which is due to air on Channel 4 next year.

A source said: “Matt was the star signing for SAS Who Dares Wins but now he’s on I’m A Celebrity it has poured cold water all over it.

“He will be on air on ITV’s biggest show for a month.

“Obviously no one working on SAS is impressed as it really takes away from their show and it looks like they signed him after I’m A Celebrity – which isn’t true.”

“Everyone is pretty angry about what has gone on and it’s not the best move Matt could have made.”

The Sun has contacted a spokesman for SAS: Who Dares Wins for comments.

The Sun exclusively revealed how the West Suffolk MP had joined the I'm A Celeb line-up earlier today.

Hancock, who had to resign after The Sun exposed him for breaking his own lockdown rules by having an affair in the office, will be the 12th star to go into the jungle.
