Naga Munchetty bags brand new TV show – and it's worlds away from BBC Breakfast | The Sun

NAGA Munchetty has bagged herself a brand new TV role and it could not be further from BBC Breakfast.

Her new presenting stint will see her switch an early morning start to a late-night shift on the box.

The BBC has confirmed that they have signed up the TV presenter to host a new episode of the much-loved Have I Got News For You?

Naga, 48, will take the reigns as a guest presenter on Friday the 8th of December.

Now in its 66th series, it will mark the second time that Naga has presided over hosting duties and her third appearance on the popular panel programme overall.

With regular team captains Paul Merton and Ian Hislop, Naga will feel right at home as she gets her feet under the desk and takes a look at the week's top news stories and current affairs with a fair few laughs expected along the way.

Also joining the star during her episode will be presenter and House of Games star Richard Osman as well as comedian Maisie Adam.

The star previously gained rapturous applause when she took on the gig.

Naga's new job appointment comes just days after she was seen bursting into laughter at her co-star on BBC Breakfast.

The moment occurred when meteorologist Matt Taylor made the blunder during his latest weather report.

While concluding his final report of the show, the meteorologist started explaining to the audience that temperatures had plummeted, and this was when he made the hilarious mistake.

Matt said: "It's not going to be a particularly warm day, but actually, temperatures where they should be at this stage in February," before insisting he meant November.

Naga giggled as she told her co-star: "It's one thing to miss out a day or a week, but to miss a season!"

The weather reporter tried to convince himself that he had covered the blunder well, but Charlie Stayt quickly spotted out that he had heard Naga's loud laugh.

Looking at Naga, he said: "I heard the laugh.”
