Filming for season five of Outlander is expected to wrap in November. However, this could all changer after the news dropped that showrunners have gone back to reshoot some of the earlier scenes for the new season. Could this result in major changes to the plot?
Outlander recently dropped a trailer for the upcoming outing of the show teasing an action-packed fifth season of the show.
The new outing is set to see the family settle into their new life at Fraser’s Ridge all before chaos ensues and war breaks out.
The network has already teased danger for the beloved characters.
The official network description by Starz revealed Claire Fraser (played by Caitriona Balfe) will have to use her modern medical knowledge to save the family from being “ripped apart” once more.

However, with early scenes being reshot, could the family be put in danger earlier than expected?
According to Claire and Jamie.com, Fergus star César Domboy revealed some of the early scenes are being reshot at a recent Outlander convention called Sansark City 2019.
Speaking at the event, the star revealed he had to fly back to Scotland earlier than initially planned on Sunday after Sasnak City, all to ensure he was back in time for filming.
Moreover, the publication claims the reshoots were the reason Roger Mackenzie star Rickard Rankin had to cancel his appearance at the convention, along with Murtagh Fraser star Duncan Lacroix and Ian Murray star Steven Cree.
With the Frasers set to come up against Murtagh in the new season, could the cast be gearing up for major changes to the battle scenes?
The publication also revealed the cast teased yet more surprises are in store for fans.
What’s more is the new season is set to shock both fans of the series and the book the show is based on, titled The Fiery Cross, written by Diana Gabaldon.

Meanwhile, Claire Fraser could be forced to make a heartbreaking decision in the new season.
In the season five trailer, Claire can be heard promising Jamie she’ll do the right thing when the time comes as it’s safer in her own time.
Now fans are certain this means Claire could be about to trick her daughter into going back to the present with Roger and Jemmy.
Reddit user EVHAMISU2006 wrote: “When you watch the teaser for season 5 and you hear Claire saying ‘it’s time’, that better mean that she is sending Brianna, Jemmy and Roger through the stones.”

However, the family aren’t yet sure if Jemmy can travel through the stones.
Could Brianna be forced to leave her son behind with mother Claire and hope for the best as she flees war with Roger?
