Outlander fans are currently waiting for the droughtlander to come to an end so they can finally see new episodes of the Starz series. Filming was postponed following the outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19 but some have begun wondering if it had started again after one of the stars shared a first-look on Instagram.
Has filming started on Outlander season 6?
Filming of time-travelling series Outlander was due to begin earlier this year following the broadcast of season five.
However, the decision was made to halt this when coronavirus became a pandemic and restrictions were put into place.
Fans have been patiently waiting for news since about when the show will begin production and they might be able to get new episodes.
Now there has finally been an update on the show’s future from one of its stars.
Filming does not seem to have started officially on the series of the hit drama yet.
However, Young Ian actor John Bell has revealed pre-production is on its way via their Instagram page.
According to ClaireandJamie.com, the actor recently posted on his Instagram story about beginning his preparation.
In the image reposted by fan account OutlanderDreams, the actor posed topless in the mirror.
Alongside his selfie, he wrote: “S6 Prep begins… Back to Mohawk/Highlander Warrior. Day 1.”
The post seemed to suggest he had begun growing his hair into his character’s trademark style ahead of the new series.
While it is likely this will take a while to achieve, the update left fans excited by the hope filming would begin in a few months.
This follows an update from Jamie Fraser star Sam Heughan earlier this year when he appeared on This Morning.
