Actress Ramona Marquez turns another year older today.

She was just six years old when she made her name playing Karen Brockman in BBC sitcom Outnumbered.

The TV personality played the role of Pete and Sue's chatty youngest child and only daughter for nine years.

She was the first youngster to be named Best Female Newcomer at the British Comedy Awards in 2009, scooping the gong at just eight years old.

At the time, the little blonde beauty was Britain’s hottest new comedy actress who improvised most of her own material.

The wife of the Outnumbered creator Guy Jenkins spotted five-year-old Ramona at a birthday party acting in a very confident and mature manner.

Before she played Karen, Ramona appeared as Imogen Pollock in the feature movie Enid, detailing the life of children's writer Enid Blyton.

Ramona starred as Princess Margaret in The King's Speech in 2010 alongside Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter.

In 2011, she provided the voice of Gwen in Arthur Christmas for which she was nominated for a Young Artist Award, and played a grandchild of one of the lead stars in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

Ramona is studying Spanish and Mandarin at University of Manchester and doesn't appear to be a member of the university's Drama society.

She has been making the most of the opportunity to explore the city and has posted various snaps from club bathrooms on social media.

The TV star often offers her 102,000 followers a glimpse into her life since her show ended.

She has her own sense of style and is forever changing the colour of her hair.

Ramona recently underwent completely an image overhaul and often accessories her outfits with quirky hats and jewellery.

These days she wears more black clothing on her Instagram, donning a heavy swipe of metallic glittery eyeshadow and big black eyelashes.

She's also used the platform to reflect on her childhood, sharing adorable pictures of herself where she looks much closer to the Karen fans know and love.

Her Instagram account at one point was full of her at festivals and she famously lost her phone at Boomtown, only to have it returned to her by someone else who went to the same festival.

In 2017, Ramona suffered a major mishap when she lost her mobile phone at the event – but wasted no time in calling her phone to reunite with it again.

According to festival-goer Connor Parkinson, the young actress showed up at his front door, asking for her phone which he had found after she dropped it.

Out of gratitude, Ramona posed for a picture with Connor which was uploaded to his Twitter by his sister Kerri-Rose.

"Brother found a phone at boomtown, the owner came to pick it up and turned out to be Karen from outnumbered hahahaha [sic]," she captioned.

Ramona sent Outnumbered fans into meltdown in 2019 when she enjoyed a sweet reunion with her former on-screen brothers Daniel Roache, who portrayed Ben, and Tyger Drew-Honey, who played oldest sibling Jake.

All three stars looked completely unrecognisable in photographs from the day they spent together in July, which both Daniel and Tyger shared on Instagram.

Romana showed off her quirky fashion sense in a lilac T-shirt and animal print midi skirt, which she teamed with hiking boots and ankle socks.

Outnumbered was watched by 9.4 million viewers at its peak and ran for five series between 2007 and 2014, with a one-off Christmas special in 2016.

The show centred on a middle-class family living in West London, where parents, teacher Pete (Hugh Dennis) and personal assistant Sue (Claire Skinner) struggled to balance their careers with their unruly children.

Actor Hugh recently admitted that he'd be up for filming more episodes of Outnumbered and even shared an idea for a potential storyline.

He told Radio Times: “I really liked making it, and I’d be very happy to do some more.

"Maybe in 20 years when the children are looking after us. That would be a great format."
