Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson are currently entertaining viewers on Channel 4 reality series The Celebrity Circle.

But The Only Way is Essex star Pete has exclusively revealed to OK! that there is no way he could ever move in with Made in Chelsea’s Sam permanently, describing him as “a Duracell Bunny.”

Opening up about their decision to sign up to the series, where they posed as Countdown host Rachel Riley, Pete, 32, said: “Sam wanted to do it together and I didn’t. Living with Sam was the most painful experience of my life!”

And while Sam insisted it was smooth sailing between the pair whilst they were in the famous apartment block, Pete’s version of events were quite different, insisting they “spent the whole time arguing!”

Pete added: "I would never live with you. Every minute was torture.”

Continuing that it was a big adjustment moving in with someone after living on his own for years, Pete joked that it was particularly hard because it was Sam sitting opposite him.

He explained: “I’ve lived on my own for a very long time, so I’m very much a lone wolf. Living with someone else was a struggle – especially someone who’s like a Duracell Bunny!"

However, despite their banter, it’s clear the pair, who struck up a bromance when they both took part in 2019’s Celebs Go Dating, have a genuine friendship.

Pete laughed: “Wherever I go, people ask, “How’s Sam?” like he’s my wife. It’s the only successful relationship to come out of Celebs Go Dating.”

He added: “In all seriousness, we’re from completely different backgrounds and ordinarily there’s no way we should be mates.

“However, I do love him. If anyone had anything to say about Sam, they’d have to go through me first."

And 29 year old reality star Sam was equally as complimentary about Pete as he opened up about their unique relationship.

Sam told us: “I’m the brother he never wanted and he’s the brother I never had. Without getting too soppy, I love how genuine Pete is.

"If I ever need advice, like when I was going through my little relationship blip [with Zara McDermott], Pete’s the first person I call. I love him to pieces.”
