The TV star – who appeared in Scooby Doo as Daphne Blake on the children's show – smouldered at the camera.

Following the success of the show, lead star Sarah Michelle Gellar appeared in a number of feature films.

Her best big screen performance to date is arguably in 1999 film Cruel Intentions in which she played a wealthy and manipulative schoolgirl.

She also starred alongside her husband Freddie Prinze Jr in Scooby-Doo and sequel Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed after meeting on the set of horror I Know What You Did Last Summer in 1997.

Sarah’s film career lost momentum post-Buffy after she starred in a series of box-office bombs and straight-to-video releases.

She has lent her voice to a number of animated shows including The Simpsons, American Dad and Star Wars Rebels.

The actress also appeared as the lead in CW show Ringer, which was cancelled after one season, and alongside the late Robin Williams on short-lived series The Crazy Ones.

She lives with her husband Freddie and their two children in Los Angeles.
