'Selling Sunset': Christine Writes Which Scenes Were 'Fabricated for Television'

Selling Sunset has drama and big glossy houses. But how much of it is real? Christine Quinn claims things are fabricated for the show in her new book.

Is ‘Selling Sunset’ fake?

There is always a question with reality shows of what’s real and fake. Christine has no problem claiming certain storylines on the show are fake, like when Emma Hernan claimed Christine tried to bribe her client to not work with her.

Maya Vander addressed this with Metro. “We film for five or six months and things really happen as we go,” she said. “We don’t get a script; they don’t tell us what to say and how to say it.”

She also debunked the rumor of a fake relationship. “People thought that Chrishell [Stause] and Jason [Oppenheim] was a PR stunt, which it wasn’t,” the realtor said. “Unfortunately, you see them break up in the show.”

Christine said a fight and a funny scene were ‘fabricated for television’

Christine’s book, How to Be a Boss B*tch: Stop Apologizing For Who You Are and Get the Life You Want is out. It included some behind-the-scenes secrets, according to Us Weekly.

She claimed a fight with Heather Rea Young was acted for the cameras, “which I thought we did a really good job of doing.” It wasn’t revealed which “fight” this was, but a fan did tweet a video of a scene from season 5 where Heather confronted Christine for sending her a flower arrangement at her bridal shower. Heather seemed angry at Christine for showing up late.

“I’d take a bullet for her @XtineQuinn,” the fan tweeted. “Omg this convo was so funny. Even Heather was trying not to laugh. Lolzzzz,” she tweeted.

The reality star also claimed that the time she was locked out of her listing was planned. “Of course I have the f—king keys. That was totally fabricated for television,” she wrote. “I could have made a fuss about how it would make me look less professional, but I went along with it because I thought it was funny and I’m a good sport.”

Mary Fitzgerald says Christine Quinn isn’t acting on ‘Selling Sunset’

Maya isn’t the only person to address the authenticity of the show. Mary Fitzgerald was on The Viall Files podcast and answered if Christine is acting to stir up drama with the cast.

“Well, it can’t be for the show because she’s doing it outside of the show when the cameras are off,” she answered. “She does even worse stuff when the cameras are off. So but the thing is we all, we all loved the Christine in season 1. She was an–I used to live with her. I loved her. But she is just–she’s changed.”

It looks like the cast is saying different things about the making of the stories for Selling Sunset. Some say it’s real, while Christine claims things are fake.
