Spoilers: Wedding drama for Sam and Lydia in Emmerdale

It’s been a tough couple of years for Sam Dingle (James Hooton) and Lydia Hart (Karen Blick) in Emmerdale, and there were plenty of obstacles thrown in their way that almost prevented the pair from getting their happy ending, but nonetheless they’ve managed to overcome it all, and therefore — in the coming episodes — their wedding day arrives, but it’s not without plenty of Dingle drama.

The morning of the wedding ceremony arrives, and Sam is on could nine at the thought of marrying Lydia. However, there’s problems afoot, as both Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) and Kerry (Laura Norton) begin to worry that no-one has seen Lydia on the morning in question.

The bride-to-be’s disappearance is no doubt in relation to the fact that Mandy (Lisa Riley) commandeered her hen do, and the pair ended up in the middle of nowhere as a result.

However, there’s nothing to fear, as Lydia soon turns up, and rushes to get ready for the big day.

The Dingle clan rejoice that the ceremony is still going ahead and therefore the preparations begin.

Samson (Sam Hall) shares a touching moment with his dad as they make their way to the church, while Bob fiddles with the Yorkshire-themed gravy fountain at The Woolpack.

As the wedding gets underway, Sam’s breath is taken away when Lydia arrives. Their union is made final, and there are cheers of delight from all in attendance.

At the reception, Lydia couldn’t be happier with her big day, and thus she takes to the floor with her new husband for their first dance.
