Kym Marsh

Former Corrie star Kym Marsh will be taking on Strictly.

The actress – who shot to fame in noughties pop band Hear'Say – is excited to throw herself into learning the different styles of dance.

And the Waterloo Road star has vowed to pass on her skills to husband Scott Ratcliff.

Kym told the BBC: “I’ve considered doing Strictly for years but the timings never worked out.

He told the BBC: "I'm honestly so chuffed to be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this year!

"Not going to lie, it's totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that's what life is all about.

"This is also my Mum's favourite show and she’s had a really tough few years so I’m doing this is for her as well. Bring it on!”

Who is rumoured to be taking part?

Steph McGovern

Strictly bosses are keen to sign Steph McGovern.

The Sun revealed how they hope it will be third time lucky, as they have asked the presenter of Channel 4’s Packed Lunch twice before, only to be turned down.

If she signs up, Steph will follow in the footsteps of her Packed Lunch co-star, chef John Whaite, who caused a sensation on last year’s Strictly through his same-sex pairing with pro Johannes Radebe .

A TV insider said: “Steph has the personality and profile which makes her a perfect choice in the eyes of Strictly producers.

“They completely understood why she’s had to say no in the past. She was just establishing Packed Lunch on Channel 4 and wanted to give that her complete attention.

“But now it is a firm fixture in the schedules. It was nominated for a Bafta earlier this year and only last month it was announced it had been recommissioned and will run into 2023.”

Tony Adams

The Sun revealed how England soccer legend Tony “Donkey” Adams is being lined up for Strictly Come Dancing.

The ex-Arsenal skipper, 55, who also captained his country, was known for his no-nonsense approach to defending — but not so much for his elegance.

In fact, he famously dropped Arsenal team-mate Steve Morrow after hoisting him up to celebrate his winning goal in the 1993 League Cup final — badly breaking his arm.

Bruce Grobbelaar

The Sun exclusively revealed how bosses want former Liverpool goalie Bruce Grobbelaar to appear on Strictly.

The 64-year-old Zimbabwean with “spaghetti legs” is at the top of the BBC show’s list and bosses have already met him via online video call.

A source said: “Bosses are determined to get Grobbelaar to sign on the dotted line.

"Even getting him to agree to a meeting was a mission but so far he’s dragging his heels.

“He’s made it clear the only way he will sign up is if they agree a big money package.

"Producers are willing to splash out to get him but have a limit as to how much they can spend.”

Richie Anderson

Up-and-coming presenter Richie Anderson is in the running to star on Strictly Come Dancing.

He appears on Zoe Ball’s Radio 2 breakfast show, where she gently ribs him about his desire to take part in the BBC One dance contest.

A TV insider said: “As an out-and-proud gay man, Richie would help make it a diverse line-up — and would obviously have the option of dancing with a male pro.

“Strictly are keen to keep the same-sex partnership as a regular feature on the show and Richie might just help them with that.

“They also like less well-known stars to be in the mix, as they like celebrity contestants to go on a journey from underdog to top dog."
