The two-part series finale begins Tuesday night

<p>It’s not often that Lena Luthor gets to be the one giving a version of a hope speech, but in the first half of the “Supergirl” series finale this week, that’s exactly what happens.</p>
<p>Lately, it’s been Kara (Melissa Benoist) who Lena (Katie McGrath) has been bolstering, reminding her to stay tethered to the good in her, rather than stooping to the levels of Lex (Jon Cryer) and Nyxly (Peta Sergeant) in her efforts to save everyone. This week though, it’s Andrea Rojas (Julie Gonzalo) who needs a bit of a reality check.</p>
<p>Showing up at the Tower as Acrata, Andrea has a moment with Lena, kicking herself for the choices she made that inevitably led to William Dey’s (Staz Nair) death. You can watch the full interaction in TheWrap’s exclusive clip of “The Last Gauntlet” above.</p>

Though Lena is adamant that Andrea isn’t a “monster” like she says, the younger Luthor does take the moment to get blunt with her childhood friend.
“Fine. You’re right. So what are you gonna do about it,” Lena challenges. And she’s certainly not having it when Andrea says there’s nothing she can do, having been in a similarly dark place herself for the bulk of season 5. “There’s still time for you to be a better person Andrea,” Lena says adamantly.
Really, her advice is simple: “You’ve got to embrace the person you want to be, the choices you want to make.”
With that advice, it seems pretty likely that Andrea will become the “unlikely ally” set to help the Super Friends take down Lex and Nyxly and get Esme back. “The Last Gauntlet” is directed by Glen Winter with story by J. Holtham and teleplay by Derek Simon & Jay Faerber.
The two-part “Supergirl” series finales airs on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
