TAREK El Moussa and his girlfriend Heather Rae Young are engaged and will be walking down the aisle in the near future!
The HGTV star asked his girlfriend the very important question after a year of dating as he revealed the news on his Instagram.
He wrote: "She said yes! #FlippingHerLastName."
Heather also shared her own post as she captioned it, "The Future Mrs. Tarek El Moussa!!!!"
People were all about the big moment as they took to the comments section to respond with nothing but kind words.
One person said: "That’s amazing, congratulations Tarek! I saw it coming."
Another joked: "That's one deal that took awhile to close. After scouting the property and testing the market why'd it take you so long?
"And in the end how many counter offers? ? Jk. Glad she makes you happy!"
According to People, Tarek asked the question on Saturday while the happy pair were celebrating their one-year anniversary with a boat trip to Catalina Island, California.
The 38-year-old explained to the outlet that the island is a “special place” for him and Heather, and they “love to be on the boat together.
Heather, 32, did not see it coming, so she was taken aback when she walked down a beach path lined with flower petals and candles and found Tarek, 38, waiting beneath two “kissing” palm trees that have grown into each other.
Tarek then got down on one knee to ask Heather to marry him.
The Flip or Flop star also revealed that before asking for the Selling Sunset realtor's hand in marriage, he secretly drove to her parents' place to ask for their blessing.
This will not be the first time that Tarek says I do as he was married to Christina Anstead from 2009 to 2016, and they finalized their divorce in 2018.
The pair have two kids: daughter Taylor, 9, and son Brayden, 4.
Christina, who still works alongside her ex-husband on the HGTV program, married Ant Anstead in December 2018.
They welcomed their first child together, son Hudson, in September 2019.
Christina and Tarek's divorce and new relationships have not gotten in the way of their popular show as the former couple recently reunited to film season 9.
The newest season will air in October after the original premiere date of August 2020 was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The show will continue to focus on Christina and Tarek flipping homes for profit.
