Teen Mom Briana DeJesus accuses Kailyn Lowry of 'harassing & silencing' her with 'meritless' defamation lawsuit

TEEN Mom star Briana DeJesus has accused co-star Kailyn Lowry of "harassing and silencing" her with a defamation lawsuit, The Sun can exclusively report.

Kailyn, 29, first sued her longtime nemesis Briana, 27, last month for allegedly “humiliating” her when she publicly claimed the mom of four assaulted her third baby daddy, Chris Lopez.

In Florida court documents obtained by The Sun, Briana’s high-profile attorney Marc Randazza claimed his client could not have defamed Kailyn with "false" stories- because she was in fact arrested for the alleged assault on her ex.

The attorney wrote: “She verifiably was arrested for thisand her arrest garnered media attention.”

The Sun exclusively confirmed with local police that Kailyn was arrested in September 2020 for "hitting Chris several times with a closed first" in an argument over their 4-year-old son Lux's haircut. (The charges against Kailyn were later dropped.)

Briana's lawyer called Kailyn’s lawsuit "meritless" and demanded she pay his client's legal fees.He also requested the entire lawsuit be dismissed.

He went on: "It is meritless and directed exclusively at protected speech on a matter of public concern brought for the purpose of harassing and trying to silence a critic."

KAILYN'S FURY

According to her original lawsuit filing obtained by The Sun, Kailyn claimed Briana "asserted that Lowry physically beat Christopher Lopez, the father of two of Lowry's sons, and broke into and entered the home of Mr. Lopez's mother."

Kailyn's legal team claimed that her co-star’s comments were false and were made "for the purpose of causing Lowry harm… Defendant used Lowry to gain additional media attention for herself."

Kailyn then went into their long-standing feud in the court papers filed on June 25, which began when Briana joined Teen Mom 2 in 2017.

Kailyn claimed Briana "has a history of making false public statements regarding Lowry’s family life,” including when she allegedly responded to a Twitter user “[Lowry] gets beat the f**k up by Chris in front of her kids.”

Kailyn mentioned in the lawsuit when she was excluded from the June 8, 2021 Teen Mom 2 episode- and claimed Briana made false claims about her mysterious TV absence.

Briana claimed Kailyn “didn’t want to film” that week because she attacked Chris, and broke into his mother's home.

Kailyn claimed the "false" statements “threaten” her “ability to earn a living.”

The MTV star claimed she suffered “the impairment of her reputation and standing in the community, personal humiliation, and mental anguish.”

She requested $30,000, reasonable costs and attorneys’ fees, and a jury trial.

Until now, Briana has remained mum about the lawsuit, only posting a cryptic meme about "putting your money where your mouth is."

Briana's sister Brittany immediately slammed Kailyn, and called her a "Karen" for suing a "person of color."

Meanwhile, the mother of two's mom Roxanne claimed Kailyn was just "looking for a storyline" on the TV show.
