The Masked Singers Fawn unveiled as 90s pop icon in season finale

The Masked Singer's Fawn was finally unmasked during the grand finale of the hit ITV show, with 90s pop icon Natalie Appleton revealed to be behind the mask.

The All Saints singer, 49, came in third place on the show, leaving Rhino and Phoenix to battle it out to be crowned the winner of the series.

The judges were left shocked when Natalie took her mask off, with no one guessing her throughout the series.

Rita Ora exclaimed: "We were so close!" as Davina McCall added: "You absolutely had us all flummoxed, and that is quite something. Well done, that is so good."

Natalie beamed as she said: "I loved fooling you guys, it was such a buzz."

Mo Gilligan had been convinced that it was Shania Twain behind the Fawn costume, which Natalie took as a huge compliment as she said: "I'm so buzzing!"

She added: "I've had the best time. It's been amazing. I do recommend it."

After Natalie's unmasking, it was then revealed that Rhino had been crowned the winner of The Masked Singer with Phoenix coming in second place.

Other stars who took part in the series included Katherine Ryan, Daisy May Cooper and Claire Richards.

During the semi-final, both Jacket Potato and Jellyfish were unmasked, with Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and singer and actress Amber Riley revealed to be behind the costumes.

On taking part in the hit ITV show, Richie said: "It's a wild reality when you do this show," and revealed he'd had a "great time" performing on The Masked Singer.

Speaking about being eliminated, he added: "I think we all want to win, but I had a good ride and I was glad to carry the torch for the amazing people that left before me. I had a great time."

Speaking about the judges' guesses, Amber said: "I thought they were way off with the guesses, it was kind of funny to be honest. I KNEW Jonathan Ross would get me though."

The star also revealed that she couldn't "see very well" in her extravagant costume and had struggled with her balance while performing on the show, as well as jet lag.
