The X Factor Celebrity line-up: Who are the contestants?

Simon Cowell and The X Factor returned to ITV in 2019 but this time it’s famous faces singing for your votes. Joined on the judging panel by Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh, Simon and his fellow mentors will be introducing a number of famous faces through their paces as they sing on stage. From a Love Island supergroup to a quizmaster from The Chase, here’s who is in the line-up.

Who are The X factor Celebrity contestants?

The overs

Martin Bashir

Martin Bashir, 56, swaps the high-paced world of journalism and TV reporting for The X Factor Celebrity.

He’s most recognisable for his work with Michael Jackson and Princess Diana.

Victoria Ekanoye

Soapstar Victoria Ekanoye, 36, is best-known for playing Angie Appleton on Coronation Street.

The actor’s CV also includes a role in E! drama The Royals.

Jenny Ryan

The Chase star Jenny Ryan, 37, is no stranger to pressure on the ITV game show.

She tackles a role like never before on The X Factor Celebrity, however, as she takes to the mic.

Despite initially being sent home by Nicole at the auditions, Jenny will return to the live shows.

Ricki Lake

The fourth contestant making up ‘the overs’ is talk show host Ricki Lake, 51.

Away from her talk show, Ricki has acted and performed in films like Hairspray, Cry-Baby and Serial Mom.

Vinnie Jones

Footballer-turned-actor Vinnie Jones missed the auditions of X Factor Celebrity because of the death of his wife Tanya.

However, following a phone call from Simon, Vinnie will join the line-up during the live shows.

The unders

Megan McKenna

Former TOWIE star Megan McKenna, 27, is no stranger to reality TV having starred on Celebrity Big Brother and Ex on the Beach as well as the ITVBe series.

Megan has also ventured into the music world before, releasing a handful of singles in 2018.

Hayley Hasselhoff

Actress and model Hayley Hasselhoff, 27, is hoping she has what it takes to impress the judges on The X Factor Celebrity.

Hayley’s also recognisable for being the daughter of Hollywood heavyweight David Hasselhoff – sadly, Hayley didn’t make it to the live shows.

Jonny Labey

Actor Jonny Labey, 26, is best known for appearing on BBC soap EastEnders.

Olivia Olson

Love Actually star Olivia Olson, 27, has also starred in children’s TV programmes Phineas and Ferb, Adventure Time and The Powerpuff Girls in recent years.

Kevin McHale

Instantly recognisable as Artie from Golden Globe-winning drama Glee, 31-year-old actor Kevin McHale will be singing on-stage for the judges.

Groups

No Love Lost

Made up of four former Love Island stars is new group The Islanders, now known as No Love Lost.

Eyal Booker, Samira Mighty, Zara McDermott and Wes Nelson are the reality stars taking to the stage.

Sadly, the quartet were voted off during the live shows in November.

Try Star

Three rugby players in the form of Ben Foden, Levi Davis and Thomas Evans make up Try Star.

Ben won 34 caps for England while Thomas played for Scotland – Levi played for England at a junior level.

Cole and Edwards

Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Brendan Cole and actor Jeremy Edwards perform as duo Cole and Edwards.

Brendan left Strictly in 2018 and Jeremy’s CV includes roles in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and BBC’s Holby City – unfortunately for the duo, they didn’t make it to the live shows.

Max and Harvey

Berkshire-based twin brothers Max and Harvey are two 16-year-old social media stars.

The pair have also released a handful of songs together as well as trying their hand at TV printing on CBBC.

V5

With a combined following of 11 million on social media, V5 is made up of five world-famous social media influencers.

The influencers are Sofia, Alondra, Laura, Wendii and Natalie.

The X Factor Celebrity continues every Saturday on ITV.
