VICKY Pattison has teamed up with Age UK to help dish out care packages to those most in need in her local area.
The Geordie TV star, 32, enlisted the help of her boyfriend, Ercan Ramadan, and headed down to a local warehouse to help pack up 600 boxes earlier today.
Vicky has been working with her local Age UK team over the past week to help raise donations for the elderly and vulnerable in her local area.
She shared a picture from the warehouse today after helping box up the care parcels, which were crammed with goodies from Scoff Meals and catering supplier Yahire.
The packages will be distributed tomorrow around Gateshead and will help 600 households most in need.
As well as enlisting the help of these businesses, Vicky also called upon brands who kindly donated products, including Kelloggs, Tyrrells, Whitworths, Ryvita and Baxters, for the packages.
Vicky shared an image of herself volunteering to raise awareness of Age UK and the companies who’re working tirelessly to try and help during the coronavirus pandemic.
She wrote next to the snap: “Success has nothing to do with what you gain or accomplish in life. It is what you do for others.
Today Scoff Meals, Yahire Ltd, Ercan and myself, as well as some wonderful volunteers boxed up our first wave of care packages for the elderly and vulnerable.
“In aid of Age UK we are reaching out to specific communities and aiming to help as many people as possible.
“We’re sending out over 600 boxes this week to Age UK Gateshead and I couldn’t be prouder of this – but it is honestly just the beginning!!!”
Vicky went on to thank all the companies who had helped before adding: “Thank everyone who donated- in times of uncertainty the generosity that you have shown is nothing short of bravery.
“Having said all this, this is still a real appeal for more help!!! We need more brands on board- in particular canned goods and breads so if you can help or know anyone who can please get in touch.
“Also we are still in real need of your cash donations!! The link to our just giving page is in my bio and we still have ages to go before we reach our target and so many more people we want to help!! Every little helps. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity!!
“Our plan is to expand quickly and smoothly into other areas but we literally cannot do this without you.
