Who is Alejandra Silva?
Alejandra, 37, is a Spanish publicist and activist. She is from Madrid and was born in February 1983.
She went to school in Dorset though and even did her A-levels there.
But Alejandra returned to her native Spain to study advertising and marketing.
Alejandra has been married before – to Govind Friedland – and the pair share a son, Albert, five.
How did Alejandra Silva meet Richard Gere?
The pair actually first met when Alejandra was a little girl as Gere is a family friend.
They then reconnected in 2014 at a hotel that Alejandra was managing – the Treville hotel in Positano, Italy.
Apparently a friend re-introduced them and they both instantly felt a "very strong connection".
She said that the actor sent her flowers until she agreed to go on a date with him and that he "regularly writes her songs".
They went on to marry in 2018.

Alejandraw is a keen human rights activist and in 2007 promoted a non-profit initiative with the supermodel Karolina Kurkova called Beautiful Life Fund.

According to Hello! magazine the couple wed at Gere's New York ranch.
They converted the property into an Indian-inspired fairytale with imported tents from Jaipur and Tibetan decorations.
They also arrived in a tuk-tuk.
Guests included chef Eric Ripert and composer Bette Sussman, as well as actress Saundra Santiago.
