Who is taking part in Race Across the World 2023? | The Sun

RACE Across the World returns for its third series, after three years off of our screen due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In the show, teams of two will travel across a country in the quickest time possible, without using flights, or mobile phones. Here's what we know about the class of 2023.

Who is taking part in Race Across the World 2023?

The 2023 series will see contestants attempt to travel from Vancouver to Newfoundland in Canada, a distance of 16,000 kilometres.

Here are the pairs taking part in the hope of grabbing the £20,000 winners prize.

Cathie and Tricia

Cathie and Tricia are best friends that regularly take part in challenges together.

The pair said that they joined the show as they wanted to do something "A little bonkers!"

When is Race Across the World on BBC Two and who is the narrator?

Kevin and Claudia

Kevin and Claudia are a father and daughter pair from Southampton.

Claudia said that they signed up to the show in order to create memories and have a closer relationship.

Ladi and Monique

Ladi and Monique are also a father and daughter pairing.

Monique said that she wanted to take part in the show to see more of world.

"I want to challenge myself to be able to experience countries in a way that I probably never would unless it was a show like this.

"And who better to go with than my dad, because I feel like I need someone who's older, wiser and knows more about the world than I do."

Marc and Michael

Marc and Michael are brothers from Tamworth and the West Midlands.

They entered the show as they wanted to form a closer relationship during their travels.

Michael said: "It's a unique chance to have protected time out of our individual lives, do something together and share some incredible experiences. I know it sounds a bit corny, but it is a once in a lifetime trip."

Zainib and Mobeen

Zainib and Mobeen are the only husband and wife pairing in the 2023 series.

Zainib said their entry to the show was based on both her and her father's need for a sense of adventure.

When is Race Across the World 2023 on TV?

The third series of Race Across the World will first air on BBC One on March 22, 2023.
