Who is Terry Jones and how old is he?

Terry Jones was a Welsh actor, writer, comedian, screenwriter and film director.

He was born in Colwyn Bay, Denbighshire on February 1, 1942.

Terry studied English at St Edmund Hall, Oxford but became interested in medieval history during his studies.

He ended up performing a comedy with his future Month Python castmate Michael Palin in the Oxford Revue.

What was Terry Jones' cause of death?

In 2015, Terry was diagnosed with a form of frontotemporal dementia called primary progressive aphasia.

The illness impairs his ability to speak and communicate which led to the actor being unable to give interviews by late 2016.

A statement from the family revealed dementia was Terry's cause of death.

It read: "We are deeply saddened to have to announce the passing of beloved husband and father, Terry Jones.

"Terry passed away on the evening of January 21, 2020 at the age of 77 with his wife Anna Soderstrom by his side after a long, extremely brave but always good humoured battle with a rare form of dementia, FTD.

"Over the past few days his wife, children, extended family and many close friends have been constantly with Terry as he gently slipped away at his home in North London."

Month Python's Life of Brian is a religious satire comedy that was released in 1979.

Terry starred in and directed the movie which told the story of a young Jewish boy named Brian Cohen.

Brian is supposedly born on the same day as his neighbour Jesus Christ and accidentally gets mistaken for the Messiah.

Terry played Mandy Cohen, Colin, Simon the Holy Man, Bob Hoskins, Saintly Passer-by and the Alarmed Crucifixion Assistant.
