Alex Jones, 45, ventured out with her youngest son Kit today, who she gave birth to back in May. However, the mum-of-two faced several difficulties during their trip to the shops. Opening up about the hectic day on Instagram, The One Show host, who is currently on maternity leave, shared a selfie with her 187,000 followers. The presenter was pictured looking unimpressed as she held her baby close to her chest.
Alex appeared to claim she had been “harassed” during the outing and had to resort to using Kit’s pram as a “trolley” to carry items she had purchased after her bag broke.
The TV personality captioned the photo: “Harassed!!
“Shopping bag broken so pram is now a trolley.”
Alex went on to explain she had encountered a large amount of people in the supermarket.
She added: “Also saw EVERYBODY in Sainsbury’s. Today of all days!!!!”
Alex’s revelation about her day out comes after she admitted to “hiding in her car” in order to “have a breather”.
Earlier this month, the Welsh star said she had been out shopping and was delaying going back inside her home for some “me time”.
Alex uploaded a picture of herself inside her car and wrote: “Been food shopping without the boys and now sitting (hiding) in the car outside the house just having a breather.”
“This is my ‘me time’ these days,” she added with a laughing emoji.
Alex quickly returned to look after her boys and gave fans another insight into her family life.
The presenter explained she was in need of some advice on how to clear up some mess on her furniture.
She said: “Help!!! What can I use to get vomited up milk off sofa?!”
Alex recently returned to work for the first time since giving birth, as she co-hosted Proms in the Park 2019 in Swansea.
The BBC favourite shared an image of herself putting on a glamorous display for the show, wearing an elegant champagne ball gown.
Alex smiled for the camera, as she showed off her slender figure in the floor-length outfit.
Following the Proms, she captioned the Instagram post: “Thank you to everyone who came to @bbccymruwales proms in the park last night and to everyone who watched and listened live at home.
“It was a magical night of music in Singleton park, a beautiful setting that I always love to go home too.”
