Pop group Steps have recorded a new album, we can reveal.
The chart-toppers have spent months in the studio laying down new tracks.
Member Claire Richards said: “We’re pretty much done with the new album. We’ve all been in the studio in London recording it.
“So hopefully next year will be the next chapter for Steps.”

The record comes two years after the five-piece hit No2 with Tears on the Dancefloor.
Claire added: “This album will move things on musically but it will still feels like a Steps album. It’ll still have that core people know. But we’re in 2019 so we’ve got to keep up to a certain degree. We’re doing what we do the best way we can.”
The group are also planning to tour the UK to promote the new album.
Claire said: “We are at our best when we are on stage.”
