It’s been a pretty tough few weeks for the ladies of Teen Mom. Earlier this month, Jenelle Evans regained custody of her son Kaiser after her husband shot and killed their family dog, Nugget. Shortly after, Jenelle’s ex-fiancé Nathan Griffith publicly asked his fans on Twitter to file a complaint to North Carolina’s justice system so he could regain custody of Kaiser. Now, Amber Portwood is facing similar circumstances and may possibly lose custody of her 1-year-old son, James, in the process.
On July 5, it was reported that Amber was arrested in her native Indiana for domestic battery after getting into a heated dispute with her boyfriend, Andrew Glennon. During the dispute, Amber allegedly attacked Andrew with a shoe while he was holding their son, and he texted a police officer to say he and James were in danger. Amber was then taken to jail but was released the following day after a woman reportedly bailed her out on a cash bond of $2,000.
Andrew is now trying to file for sole custody of their son. He reportedly filed the corresponding documentation today and has also called for an emergency hearing for the issue, according to TMZ. The news of Andrew filing for custody of James comes after additional reports that a Marion County Court clerk told Radar Online that Amber’s hearing for the domestic battery charges was moved from July 8 to today because “the state asked for a continuance.”
Just a couple days before little James was born! I love this beautiful man. What a blessing🤗

Two months ago, Amber told Us Weekly that she wouldn’t mind having more children with Andrew in the future and would possibly get married to him, saying, “If that happened, I wouldn’t be mad. There are many things I would do differently with Andrew. I wouldn’t wait to get married. I wouldn’t wait for anything! He’s my soul mate, and he’s a beautiful person. I don’t see anybody else I could even, like, mesh with after him. I might have another kid with him….I’ve been through a lot of stuff with men commitment-wise, but he’s that guy you don’t want to lose out on. Honestly, I feel like it was meant to be, the way that we met. It was just beautiful.”
