Britney Spears Shuts Down Report About Her Needing Intervention Because She Almost Died

Sources previously told TMZ that the singer’s family and friends became alarmed by her ‘erratic’ and ‘volatile’ behavior after she took medications that ‘hyped her up,” which caused her to ‘fly off the handle’ regularly.

AceShowbizBritney Spears got sick of false rumors about her. After sources claimed her family planned an intervention because she almost died, the “Toxic” hitmaker took to social media to shut down the report.

In a post shared on Instagram on Thursday, February 9, the 41-year-old argued, “It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died … I mean at some point enough is enough !!!” She added, “I’m probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though I enjoy doing it, there’s obviously a lot of people who don’t wish me well !!!”

“I’m honestly not surprised at all … Again doing the best I can !!! Again, the conservatorship has been over for almost a year … No folks, it’s not 2007 … it’s 2023 and I’m making my first homemade lasagna at home !!!” the pop star continued. “I finally got my fireplace to work in my living room !!! As my hubby says it best: don’t believe everything you read !!! All that love right back at ya !!!”

On the next day, Britney doubled down on her statement. She explained, “This week in the news it said that I almost died and that I have a manager and ‘doctors’ !!! I don’t have a management team nor will I ever again in my life !!! I don’t have ‘medical doctors’ !!! I take Prozac for depression and that’s about it !!!”

“I’m an extremely boring person !!! It frustrates me to know that any news outlet would say any of this !!!” the wife of Sam Asghari further lamented. “It’s worse than a cruel joke because people actually believe this stuff and all of my efforts in getting better with my little routine of prayer and therapy seems to not count for anything when people can say things that are incredibly wrong !!!”

Sources previously told TMZ that Britney’s family and friends became alarmed by her “erratic” and “volatile” behavior. It happened after she took medications that “hyped her up” and cause her to “fly off the handle” regularly.

According to the outlet, Britney’s manager rented a house in Los Angeles for around two months to take her there. While her husband Sam Asghari, her manager an interventionist and doctors would be present to convince her she needed help, her parents Jamie and Lynne Spears and her kids were not involved.

However, the plan was scrapped because “Britney became somewhat aware of the plan.” It was also unveiled that the singer met a doctor on Wednesday, February 8 and it “went well.”
