Cardi B Wins Court Order Forcing YouTuber To Delete Defamatory Videos

Cardi B has won the legal battle against YouTube blogger Tasha K after a federal judge ordered Tasha to delete defamatory videos and social media posts.

Judge William M. Ray issued a permanent injunction against the YouTuber requiring her to pull down 21 videos within the next five days and to avoid certain statements going forward.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper had sued Tasha K, born Latasha Kebe, for spreading “false” rumors about her having herpes and HPV in 2018 and early 2019. The blogger had also claimed that Cardi worked as a prostitute, used cocaine, and cheated on her husband Offset.

Tasha K and her legal team will still appeal the verdict to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. If that court overturns the verdict, the injunction would be nullified.

Tasha K and her company are now facing nearly $4 million in penalties. Following a trial in January, jurors awarded more than $2.5 million in damages and another $1.3 million in legal fees incurred by the rapper.
