Cressida Bonas baby sons name revealed – and its a tribute to husbands late brother

Cressida Bonas has movingly given her son the name of her husband's late brother, who passed away at the age of 21.

After marrying in 2020, the 33-year-old and Harry Wentworth-Stanleyhad their first child together last year . It's now learned that the couple named him after James, Harry's brother who took his own life in 2006.

The name Wilbur James Wentworth-Stanley is a 'dedication' to the 21-year-old, according to a source speaking to the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden.

Previously, the actress and model who datedPrince Harryfor two years and attended his wedding toMeghan Markle , wrote touchingly about the impact of James' passing.

She wrote in the Daily Mail last year that her future in-laws' lives had been turned "upside down" by his death: “He was a student at Newcastle University and, growing up, he had never shown any obvious signs of depression or mental illness," she wrote.

"He was fun, sporty, kind and popular. Many have said he was a golden boy.

“Following a minor operation, he sought help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts. Later that week, while back in Newcastle, James went to an NHS walk-in centre and was then referred to A&E as a low priority.

“James left A&E without being seen. A letter was sent from the NHS to his family GP by second-class post to the wrong postcode. By the time it arrived, James had already taken his own life, ten days after the operation.”

James' Place is a nonprofit that supports and provides individual counselling to men who are experiencing suicidal crises set up by James’ family after committing to do something to prevent other families from suffering similar tragedies.Prince Williamopened the first facility in Liverpool in 2018.

James' brother Harry Wentworth-Stanley is a partner in a property investment firm and the son of the Marchioness of Milford Haven. The married couple recentlyshared an adorable photo of their first child , Wilbur.

Cressida posted a photo of herself curled up on the sofa with her baby and pet dog and wished her followers a happy new year. In the caption she wrote: “Welcoming 2023 with these 2 treasures. Happy new year everybody!”

The Duke of Sussex and his former girlfriend are thought to have been introduced by Harry’s cousinPrincess Eugeniein 2012 and began dating not long afterwards. Harry makes reference to his ex in his new memoir Spare, describing breaking down when Cressida asked him about his mother Princess Diana, who was killed in a car crash in 1997, “with the perfect combination of curiosity and compassion.”

“I remember thinking to myself, ‘Oh no, I’m crying'" he writes, before admitting to his then-girlfriend: “It’s the first time I’ve been able to cry over my mother since we buried her”.

When the pair went their separate ways in 2014, it was reported that they had "split amicably" as Cressida became tired of the scrutiny that came alongside dating a member of the royal family.
