EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt has been snapped showing off his new look following his split from wife Beverly after 22 years of marriage.

Actor Adam, who plays Ian Beale on the BBC One soap, looked different as he showed off his weight loss while he stepped out looking trim.

The 52 year old had a smile on his face as he was photographed running errands in Hertfordshire.

He wore a blue polo shirt and jeans along with a pair of blue trainers.

Soap star Adam also had a pair of black trimmed glasses on and a black smart watch on his wrist as he stepped out of his swanky BMW sports car.

Another snap shows the star proudly leaning against the flashy burgundy BMW Series eight, said to be worth around £70,000, and smiling widely with his hand on his hip.

Adam appears to have lost several pounds throughout this year but the keen marathon runner hasn’t revealed how much weight he has lost or how he shed the pounds, but an expert at Healthiness.com said: “Regularly jogging can help you lose weight, especially if you also modify your diet.”

In the snaps, Adam could be seen without his wedding ring for the first time after it was revealed he has split from his wife Beverley Sharp after 22 years of marriage.

A friend of the Ian Beale actor said of the split: “Beverley was naturally very upset, as anybody would be in the circumstances, but these things happen and it's a straightforward separation.

“Nobody plans for these things and divorce is a difficult thing to get your head around but they have dealt with it quietly for several months and are now telling friends so it's less of a secret.

“They still get on well, and are keen to make sure they stay that way for the sake of their children – even though they are now grown up,” the pal continued to tell The Sun Online.

A representative for the hit BBC soap confirmed the news, saying in a statement: “Beverley and Adam separated in August 2019 and we ask that the family's privacy is respected.”

Adam and Beverley share two grown up children, Samuel, 23, and Jessica, 27, together.

Adam married dancer Beverley at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida in 1998.

Since the news of the split broke, Adam, who previously hit out at comments over his weight, took some time away from the soap.

A source from the BBC stated that Adam's time away from the show will be due to “an explosive plot twist”.

An insider said: “Writers are staying tight-lipped about what happens, so it's not known yet what the future will hold for the character. There are no guarantees and anything can happen in Albert Square.

“It will be strange for viewers not to have Ian on screen for such a long time. But it will be nice for Adam to have some time out after working on the show for so long,” the source continued to tell Daily Star.
