Im now a delivery driver after I was chucked off Love Island

Dumped Love Island star George Fensom has revealed that he's returned to regular working life, just weeks after he was dumped from the villa.

George, 24, sparked controversy ahead of his time in the villa after he was branded a "cheat" and a "narcissist" by his ex-girlfriend, a claim he has since denied.

And although he did embark on a party tour in Zante and Kavos following his dumping, he has since returned to the UK, where he is now working as a delivery driver.

Revealing his career change on the Secure The Insecure Podcast, George, who had previously worked as a business development executive, said: "The main reason I went for the role was because it keeps me out and about in fresh air and walking.

"The last thing I needed to do after coming back from the show was to be sat behind the desk. As much as I love my old job, I think so soon after Love Island, I didn't really want to do that."

Adding that he wasn't given many opportunities following his exit, George continued: "I think maybe like way up top they might be like, it's better to just try and forget about this guy."

Following his villa exit, George, who was the first islander dumped this series, told OK! that while he didn't find love, he did find friends for life.

He said: "I wanted to find love and I don’t think I was given enough time to make that happen. But if I didn’t come out as a couple, I knew I wanted to meet friends for life. I feel like I've done one of those things."

"My dumping was unfortunate but not expected. I didn’t have a romantic connection with anyone in the villa, so I was vulnerable but I thought the text would say that there’d be bombshells entering – not that I had to pack my bags."

“I feel like I’ve got an emotional connection to the show now and the FOMO (fear of missing out) has been huge,” George added.

Following his exit from the villa, George took to Instagram to thank his fans just moments after landing back in the UK.

Prior to being dumped, George had been hitting it off with Jess Harding, but she ultimately chose to pursue a romance with Sammy Root instead, with whom she is now in a relationship with.

After landing back in the UK, George took to Instagram to thank his fans. Recording a video from the back of a taxi, he said: "Shout out everyone sending me nice messages, kind support and that, do appreciate it."

peaking about his exit and how he felt it had come too soon, he continued: "Left the villa too soon, but do you know what I was obviously too leng."

"But yeah obviously appreciate all the support, thank you for all the messages and yeah just give me a couple of days just to sort my bits out and I will get replying and we will talk about plans moving forward. Bosh."
