Kerry Katona has said Vogue Williams should have some respect for her ex-husband, Brian McFadden.

Vogue recently commented on her first marriage to Westlife star Brian, saying that thinking about their failed union makes her “a little bit sick in the mouth”.

Vogue married Brian in Italy in 2012, but they split in 2015 and their divorce was finalised in 2017.

Brian’s other ex-wife, Kerry Katona, has now sprung to his defence.

Kerry married the singer at the age of 21 and the pair had daughters Molly and Lilly, but split just two years later.

Writing in her latest column for new magazine, Kerry says Vogue should show Brian some respect and pointed out that the Irish star wouldn’t be famous had she not met Brian.

Kerry wrote: “Vogue Williams says thinking about her marriage to Brian McFadden makes her “a little bit sick in the mouth”. I mean, I have children with the man, so I’d never slag him off like that – and her saying that did make me feel a bit sad for my girls.

"The truth is, I get where Vogue’s coming from – none of us are ever proud of our exes, but she shouldn’t diss him.

"If Vogue hadn’t met Brian, no one would know who she is today. She wouldn’t be a celeb, she wouldn’t have met her now-husband Spencer Matthews and she wouldn’t be making those comments!

"Some respect for Brian, please. He’s not my best mate, but I don’t think she should have said that."

Vogue, 34, made the cutting comment about her marriage to Brian during her podcast with her now-husband Spencer Matthews.

The pair discussed their past romances and relationships in their new podcast, which is called Spencer and Vogue.

In a dig, mum-of-two Vogue said that she wanted to forget her marriage to Brian, 40, which lasted three years.

The topic arose when Spencer said that when he checks the safe in their house on a daily basis, he is unhappy to see the certificate from her marriage to Brian.

The former Made in Chelsea star said: “Well you were married.

"Every time I go into the safe by the way I have to see your marriage certificates because like we needed them for a mortgage and I just have to look at them.

"Like what the f*** is this crap. And it is unearthed everyday. I look in the safe, which is most days."

Vogue then said she wanted to forget she ever was wed to Brian, who is now engaged to fiancée Danielle Parkinson.

She said: “I’m so glad I don’t have to look at the safe. Sometimes I forget it ever happened. Let’s bin that one."

She added: “It makes me a little bit sick in my mouth.”

Vogue married Spencer in 2018 and they have two children together; son Theodore, two, and daughter, Gigi, who they welcomed last month.
