LeVar Burton Says He Wants to Host ‘Jeopardy!’ Permanently

LeVar Burton is vying for a permanent position on Jeopardy!

The 64-year-old Star Trek: The Next Generation actor was announced as one of the final five guests hosts of the long-running program last week, and now he’s making it known that he’d like to stay on the show for as long as possible.

Find out what he said…

In an interview on Monday (April 26), when The View co-host Joy Behar asked Levar if he’d like to host the show permanently, he replied, “Absolutely.”

“For a long time, 2013 I tweeted for the first time how much I would love to have that job when Alex [Trebek] retired,” he added.

“More than anything, I am eager to put my skills up against those of anyone else in contention and then let the chips fall where they may. The important thing for me is that I have an opportunity to compete for the job, and that’s all I ever really wanted,” Levar said.

The other interim hosts for the final five shows of this season include Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, David Faber, and Joe Buck.

One of the past guest hosts on the show has been getting rave reviews from fans!
