Lewis Hamilton, 35 regularly takes to the picture-sharing site and gives fans an insight into his day-to-day life. The F1 star took the opportunity to address his “mistakes” as he opened up about being more “conscious”.
In view of his 20 million followers, Lewis issued an urgent plea for people to “never give up” in a heartfelt post.
The six-time world champion explained that he wanted to have a more “positive impact on the world”.
Lewis penned: “I am a man who is growing every day.
“I’ve made more mistakes than I can remember but I know that they have helped shape me into who I am now, and helped me build to a better place.”
He continued: “I am more conscious than ever about my surroundings, I think every day about how I impact the world.
“I know in my heart I want to impact it in a positive way whilst I’m here, and am now on my journey to do so.
“I just want to acknowledge those of you out there who are becoming more conscious of the world around you, that are on your journey to help make this world a better place, discovering who you are and what you want to do, as I know it’s a process.”
Lewis finished: “Please don’t give up, keep pushing, and keep fighting. Life is a gift and we need to live it to the fullest. Sending you all positivity as always.”

His insightful post comes after the reigning world champion spoke candidly about Formula One’s plans to build a new circuit in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Over recent years, Lewis has voiced his concerns over climate change and environmental issues on social media.
When asked about the new race track in Interlagos, he said: “Firstly, I love Brazil, and I think some of my biggest following is in Brazil.
“The “Brazilian people mean a lot to me, and the support I’ve had there over the years has been immense.
“I was hoping I wasn’t going to get this question because ultimately, my personal opinion is that the world doesn’t need a new circuit.
“I think there’s plenty of circuits in the world that are great. I love Interlagos.”
Lewis added: “I don’t think with deforestation and everything, I don’t think it’s a smart move. I don’t have the details of why, but it’s not something I personally support.”
The F1 star goes into this weekend’s Eifel Grand Prix top of the drivers’ championship and he could potentially equal Michael Schumacher’s win record of 91 with a victory on Sunday.
