Lily James has sparked speculation her rockstar boyfriend Michael Schuman has proposed as she headed out in Melrose Avenue, California with a gold ring on her engagement finger on Tuesday.
The actress, 32, has been dating musician Michael, 35, since the start of this year after they were spotted sharing a kiss outside a boutique hotel in Suffolk while she filmed What’s Love Got To Do With It?.
And Lily certainly set tongues wagging as she was pictured with a band on her finger during a shopping trip with two female pals after enjoying a fun-filled weekend at Disneyland, California with the rocker.
However a representative of Lily said of speculation regarding a proposal from Michael: ‘This is 100% not true’.

Lily cut a chic figure in a floral tie-front top and white mom jeans, while she accessorised with the dainty gold ring on her fourth finger on her left hand – which is traditionally the engagement ring finger.
Nonetheless, the Baby Driver star appeared coy about her ring and was later pictured not wearing it.
Lily was joined by two female pals for the shopping trip in the trendy West Hollywood area.
The actress’ relationship with Michael initially came as a shock to fans of the pair, as Lily is known for her family friendly roles in Downton Abbey, Cinderella and Mamma Mia.
Meanwhile, Michael is a member of Queens Of The Stone Age, the band notorious for on-stage nudity and claims of drug and alcohol abuse.
The couple were first linked this year after they were spotted sharing a kiss outside a boutique hotel.
The American star was said to be staying at the hotel where Lily was quarantining with cast and crew for the film What’s Love Got To Do With It?.

An eyewitness told the Daily Mail at the time: ‘Lily’s driver turned up just after 9am, then she and Michael emerged from the hotel together a few minutes later. They were laughing and joking and looked very happy together.’
While in March, the American rocker was thought to be staying with her at her new £3million home in north London while she was filming in the UK.
Lily was then seen visiting Michael’s parents Ira Shuman, a former executive production manager for Walt Disney, who has worked on films such as The Wedding Singer and Strange Days, and Janet Shuman, in April.
The Mamma Mia star has kept her personal life private since she became the subject of worldwide scrutiny when images emerged showing her and actor Dominic West enjoying an al fresco lunch with their mutual agent, Angharad Wood, in October.

They enjoyed a two-day vacation in Italy where they were seen riding on a scooter through Rome, and Dominic appeared to at one point lean over and kiss Lily’s neck.
A source told MailOnline the thespians spent two nights in a suite at the top Hotel De La Ville with a panoramic view over the city and just at two minutes walk from the Spanish steps.
Just days later, Dominic defiantly defended his marriage to wife Catherine FitzGerald, with the pair staging a photo opportunity outside their Wiltshire home and telling reporters: ‘Our marriage is strong and we’re very much still together.’
In February, it was reported that Dominic and his wife FitzGerald were focusing on rekindling their marriage as they enjoyed a luxury family trip to Kenya.
TV and film star Lily previously dated The Crown star Matt Smith, 38, on and off for five years, with the relationship said to be over just weeks before she was pictured with Dominic.
In July, the actress was pictured heading back to Chris Evans’ London hotel after partying into the early hours at private members’ venue, Mark’s Club in Mayfair.
The duo also put on a cosy display as they enjoyed an ice cream together in a London park.

In May, first look photos were released of Lily and Sebastian Stan in character as Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee in raunchy images feature Lily tugging on Sebastian’s nipple piercing — an homage to a 2005 photo of Pamela and Tommy doing the same while at her Comedy Central Roast.
The image showed off their incredible resemblance to the former couple in the snap, shared on the Twitter page for the Pam And Tommy series.
