Little House on the Prairie star says she looked like spawn of Satan

Melissa Gilbert, the star of ‘Little House on the Prairie’, has expressed regret over her past plastic surgery.

She confessed that she ended up looking like the “spawn of Satan” after going too far with cosmetic procedures.

The actress, who was nearing her 50th birthday and appearing on Dancing with the Stars at the time, admitted that she deeply regrets the decision to go under the knife.

The 59 year old actress said: “I was approaching 50 and there was this panic of, ‘This is it. I’ve got to wring this out while I can.’

She added: “My hair was too red, and when I did Botox, I became the spawn of Satan with pointy eyebrows. I had no facial expression, which is anathema considering what I do for a living.”

Melissa gives credit to her husband Timothy Busfield for inspiring her to let go of Botox and embrace aging. They first met at a bar in 2012 and they were married the next year. She told People: “When I would say, ‘I think I’m going to stop coloring my hair,’ he’d say, ‘Can’t wait to see what color it is. This is so exciting!'”

“When I said, ‘I think I want to get my breast implants taken out permanently,’ he said, ‘Do it!’ It’s incredibly uplifting to be with someone who says, ‘I love you exactly the way you are.'”

Now in her fifties, Melissa has launched her own lifestyle brand for older women, Modern Prairie. The brand offers clothes and home goods “]inspired by the Little House ethos of ‘love, community and family,’ made by women-owned or women-run businesses[“.

She’s taken a stand against selling any “anti-aging” products, encouraging women over 40 to embrace every stage of life. Melissa said: “Aging is not a disease. It’s time we celebrate it. I think it’s so amazing that I get to grow old.”
