Damian Hurley, 19, has taken to Instagram to share his gratitude for his “beautiful family” after it was revealed that the actor and model had been cut out of his late father Steve Bing’s estimated $250 million (around £180 million) fortune. It comes after businessman Bing tragically died last year after he took his own life.
Damian posted a photo of himself smiling alongside his mum Liz Hurley’s family in view of his 105,000 followers yesterday evening.
In the caption, he praised Liz’s side of the family, as he broke his social media silence following the reports about his inheritance.
The group photo includes actress Liz smiling alongside Damian’s grandmother Angela, 83, his cousin Miles, and two of his female cousins.
Damian captioned the snap: “Grateful for my beautiful family, today and every day Xx”.
Fans and celebrities alike took to the comments section of Damian’s post to share their thoughts, with Liz’s model pal Naomi Campbell adding three red love heart emojis to show her support.
A fan commented: “This is honestly the classiest way to handle this horrible thing that happened. So much respect.”
Another added: “Absolutely you have an amazing family.”
A third person penned: “They’re all you need to get you through times like this.”
A fourth wrote: “Man, your family hit the genetic lottery!!! That’s a photo of a bunch of beautiful people!!!!”
Damian’s family post was shared a day after reports emerged about him being excluded from his family trust.
Steve’s daughter Kira, from his relationship with tennis player Lisa Bonder, is also not included in receiving the fortune.
The reason reportedly given by Steve’s father Peter Bing is because the children were born out of wedlock.

Steve’s fortune will instead be split between the children of Steve’s sister, Mary.
Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Liz for further comment and a representative for the estate of Steve Bing for comment from Peter Bing.
Steve had won a legal battle against his father in court to put an end to his attempt to exclude his children from family trust funds.
However, Peter has now overturned the court’s ruling a year after Steve’s death.
Before Damian broke his silence amid the reports, Liz shared her fury over the situation.
Speaking out on the issue to the Daily Mail, Liz said: “Damian’s grandfather, Peter Bing, had attempted to have Stephen’s children, including Damian, disregarded as his grandchildren in the irrevocable trust he had previously set up.
“Stephen fought very hard in his last year to have his children recognised and repeatedly told me how incredibly important this was to him.
“He was happy beyond belief that the trial verdict ruled that Damian was to be treated like his sister’s children as far as the trust was concerned.”
Liz added: “I am just relieved that Stephen will never know that Damian’s relatives — Stephen’s father and the family of his sister Mary — were ultimately successful in their appeal against the original trial verdict.”
Former Gossip Girl actress and model Liz went on to brand the new ruling as “callous”, slamming Damian’s grandfather’s decision.
She said in a statement: “When Stephen took his own life, he died thinking his children were going to be taken care of. What Stephen wanted has now been callously reversed. I know Stephen would have been devastated.”
