Mrs Hinch had a very special guest at her house on Thursday as she welcomed The Grinch into her home to surprise her kids.
While The Grinch has been around since 1957 in the form of Dr Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the character was popularised again in the 2000’s film starring Jim Carrey as the titular character.
The fuzzy green Scrooge has been a Christmas staple ever since, with kids around the globe falling in love with his grumpy demeanour and eccentric movements.
Mrs Hinch, real name Sophie Hinchliffe, is a clear fan of the character, as are her two kids, Ronnie, 3, and Lennie, 1.
On Thursday, the Instagram cleaning guru posted an adorable photo of Lennie watching the film, though it’s not clear whether it’s the Jim Carrey classic or the animated film from 2018.
“This is little Lennie’s face the whole time he watches The Grinch,” she captioned the shot on her Instagram story before adding, “So this evening I have invited a VERY special green guest to our house… Would you like to see?”
The photo shows Lennie entranced by the film as he grips a teddy version of his favourite Christmas character.
In the following video, also posted to her 4.6 million followers, both of the kids can be seen sitting on the stairs in matching burgundy sweater sets.
Their mum, who recently gushed over Ronnie overcoming his speech delay, was dressed in a cosy tartan pyjama set as she beamed with excitement.
The video then pans to the front door where outside, The Grinch can be seen approaching the £1.55m farm.
Unfortunately, fans don’t know what was said as Mrs Hinch overlaid The Grinch’s song, but both Ronnie and Lennie look excited as he comes to the front door holding gift bags.
Ronnie offers him a chocolate coin as his little brother waves excitedly before the video transitions to the living room, where their new green friend gifts them onions and chocolate.
Mrs Hinch also posted a picture to her Instagram grid that shows the kids posing alongside The Grinch, with the caption reading: “Mr Grinch. All the way from Mount Crumpit. Thank you so much Mr Grinch, truly a night we’ll never forget.
"@themaldongrinch (This year raising funds for the incredible Essex & Herts Air Ambulance ) thank you xxx”
The post, which has since earned over 93k likes, led to many of Mrs Hinch’s friends also gushing over the kids and their new friend.
“Amazing! They look so happy! Wilby on the other hand would have ABSOLUTELY shit his pants,” wrote Rachaele Hambleton, aka Part-Time Working Mummy.
“Omg I love this!!! Xxx” wrote fellow superstar mum Stacey Solomon, while TOWIE’s Bobby Norris penned: “LOVE this babe!!!”
“I was wondering if it was Jamie dressed up, just brilliant!!! Xx” wrote another fan, to which Mrs Hinch replied: “Jamie definitely wouldn’t look as good as this, and he would probs be wearing flip flops.”
Other fans thought their kids, or even themselves, would be scared, to which Mrs Hinch replied: “To be fair I almost did. but the boys didn’t get scared at all and spent the evening playing with him.”
