Instagram sensation Stacey Solomon, 30, has opened up about how she recently “lost” her body confidence after losing weight during the coronavirus lockdown. While the Loose Women presenter admitted it isn’t like her to be unkind to herself, she encouraged her fans to “be nice” to themselves during this time.

I miss being nice to myself.

Alongside a picture of herself with a huge grin with her one-year-old son Rex in front of her, Stacey began to tell her 3.7 million followers: “I Love My Body. It is changing all of the time so it takes some getting used to now and again…

“But thank goodness it does change because if it didn’t I wouldn’t have that smile to wake up to every morning, or those big brothers of his either…”

The star who is often praised for her body confidence posts online, continued: “Seeing all of your body confidence posts yesterday and today just reminded me of how much I miss being nice to myself.

“I’ve lost weight recently for some reason and I didn’t lose my skin with it.”

The mother-of-three continued: “So I’ve not been very nice to myself about it, which isn’t like me at all.

“Your posts have reminded me that I am beautiful and every BODY is different and that’s what makes them special.

“You are the only you and that is perfect IMO. Cellulite is pretty, Stretch marks are glitter, extra skin is extra so it’s got to be good right?

“Feel like I’ve got a special offer on skin,” she remarked.

“I love you all to the moon and back. Be nice to yourself. Because that’s what you deserve.”

After showing her fans her stretch marks on her Instagram story, she went on to share: “I have lost my confidence with my body a bit in the last few months, which isn’t like me.

“I think it’s because I’ve lost a bit of weight but I’ve gained a bit of extra skin but all of your posts have inspired me and reminded me that we are beautiful and the voice inside our head should never EVER make us feel oversize…”

While many rushed to comment on Stacey’s update, her pal Sophie Hinchliffe, who is best known as Mrs Hinch, commented: “Just beautiful. I dream to have the confidence to do this one day.

“Sending you a big hug Bub xx.”

This encouraged fans to weigh in on the conversation, as one shared: “You are incredible I actually love everything you post and your stories you are getting me through such a rough time at the moment.”

Stacey kindly replied: “Sending you so much love hope you’re ok xxx.”

Another commented: “All I can really see when looking at this photo is the love and happiness Rex looks up at you with.”

Taken aback by their response, the ITV favourite admitted: “this comment made me cry.”

Stacey shares her son Rex with her long-term boyfriend and Extra Camp star Joe Swash.

They announced the news of their newest addition into the family last May via Instagram.

She is also mother to her sons Zachary, 12, and Leighton, eight, who are from a previous relationship.
