Tame Impala have updated their official website with a mysterious new video, presumably hinting at an upcoming album.
The clip features pieces of recording equipment and shows Kevin Parker playing with an old-school oscilloscope and some audio tapes inside a studio. He is then seen standing on some rocks and looking out into the ocean.
Parker admitted that he would be “disappointed” if the band didn’t release their fourth album by the end of 2019, when asked by Beats 1 DJ Matt Wilkinson if there would be a new album this year.
Tame Impala’s last album was 2015’s Currents, which earned them a Brit Award for best international group and a festival-headliner status across the globe.
In March 2019, the band released “Patience,” their first new music since Currents. They released “Borderline” a month later.
In 2010, the Perth band debuted with Innerspeaker and then released Lonerism in 2012.
