Emma, 19, follows in the footsteps of tennis aces Maria Sharapova and Stan Wawrinka who are already representatives for the French firm. The teenager called her appointment an “honour”, adding: “Evian is an iconic brand and a champion of tennis and the younger generation – that’s why I’m proud to join the Evian roster of Global Brand Ambassadors.” The Bromley-based athlete made history in September by becoming the youngest British player to win a Grand Slam title at the US Open.
Evian has been the official water sponsor of Wimbledon since 2008 and of the US Open for more than 30 years. Shweta Harit, vice president of marketing at Evian, said: “Emma has a unique ability to influence and inspire everyone across the globe. We hope that we can work together to challenge the status quo and drive real change for our planet.”
