Awake NY has followed up its recent ASICS collaboration by working with artist Sam Friedman for a colorful new capsule. The six-piece release is the second time Awake NY and Friedman have collaborated, with the artist contributing designs to a silk shirt and five panel cap in the label’s Spring 2020 collection.
All six pieces in this collection are adorned with an allover print taken from Friedman’s Beach Monoprint series. Based on a moment of clarity experienced at Rockaway Beach, the Monoprints mix an abstract landscape with colors drawn from rare and vibrant sunsets. In the collaboration, this imagery covers two puffer jackets, fleece jacket with matching trousers, a cap and large tote bag.
The collection is due to release on December 15 through Awake NY’s Instagram shop, before dropping via the brand’s web store on December 17.
In other fashion news, rising London label Loutre recently partnered with Carhartt WIP for a research project.
