Emilia Clarke channels her inner J Lo for the Emmys

Emilia Clarke drew some serious inspiration from Jennifer Lopez for her look for this year’s Emmy Awards.

The Game Of Thrones star looked incredible as she gave fans a little teaser of what to expect from her on the red carpet, ahead of her arrival.

Channelling her inner J Lo, Emilia reached out to the Hustlers star directly as she tagged Jennifer underneath her selfie, telling her: ‘@jlo just as a heads up you have inspired this year’s lewk.’

We’re talking sleek and straight locks, natural make-up, statement earrings, an all-time favourite glossy lip and a plunging neckline to rival that iconic Versace dress – a look that Jen pulls off all too well.

Emilia wrote: ‘@emmys2019 WE BE ROLLLLLIN! I am one lucky lady to have the best glam squad ever invented… @jennychohair @jilliandempsey @petraflannery @jennahipp YOU HAVE LIT THIS CHICK ON FYRE! thank you thank you thank you!’

But it was her hashtags that really had us lol’ing.

Signing off, she added: ‘#motherofdragonstakesafinalgoodbye #mighthaveneededadragontogetmethereontime #iplanonseeingtomorrowssunrise.’

It will no doubt be a huge night for Emilia and her Game Of Thrones co-stars, as the awards come four months after the hit HBO series aired its eighth and final series.

Game Of Thrones has been nominated for an impressive 32 Emmys this year, including the coveted Best Drama Series award.

Emilia and Kit Harington have both been nominated for the Lead Actress and Lead Actor in a Drama Series respectively, with co-stars Peter Dinklage, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams all nominated for their supporting roles.

Game Of Thrones, meanwhile, took home 10 awards at the Creative Arts Emmys last week, including a gong for Outstanding Special Visual Effects, Outstanding Main Title Design and Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series.
