A first look at a collaboration between Australian-based retailer Up There and New Balance has surfaced. Based on what little details are known at the time of writing, the collab will feature what the two have dubbed the “M1906 RUP,” visiting the 1906D silhouette — a reconstructed update of the 1906R.
Named after the brand’s birth year of 1906, the silhouette has been on a significant run of collaborations this year, with names like COMME des GARÇONS, Action Bronson, AURALEE, Salehe Bembury and more, as well as a significant number of inline releases.
Dressed in metallic panels and silver or grey mesh, the UP THERE M1906 RUP is highly reminiscent of the 1906R “The 2022 Downtown Run” from fashion label thisisneverthat, albeit without the predistressing.
Other details gathered from the one photo available of the collab appear to indicate that the pair will come with a variety of different lace types, including white flat laces, as well as both flat and rounded speckled laces, both of which are capped with the retailers signature green.
At the time of writing, details on price and availability have yet to be announced but keep an eye on the retailer’s official site for more information.
