If Bridgerton Returns For Season 2 — Which Seems Likely — It'll Be Deliciously Dramatic


It doesn’t take long for Netflix’s Bridgerton to enwrap you in its regal drama, complex romances, and clever soundtrack. By the end of the debut season, which is based on author Julia Quinn’s first novel in the Bridgerton book series, you’re left wanting more, begging the question: what awaits us if there’s a season two?

Well, first, it’s important to note that Bridgerton‘s second installment technically hasn’t been confirmed yet, but we have reason to be hopeful. Although Netflix hasn’t announced a renewal, Production Weekly — a premium service that tracks news and updates regarding TV and film projects — included Bridgerton season two on its production listings in November. Filming for the second season was reportedly to take place in July 2020 but had to be postponed to March 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since season one took about a year to shoot, we probably won’t see the Bridgerton family return to the small screen until 2022 — if Netflix grants us the pleasure of a follow-up, of course.
