Kate and William need an HR advisor – and the role looks challenging and full-on

Love them or loathe them, but there are plenty of people who'd love to be a fly on the wall and work for the royals.

Luckily, they're always on the lookout for new staff across a range of positions .

How much insight this gives you into the private lives of the Queen , Prince Charles and the rest of the gang is up for debate – and a lot of the time these roles sound like REALLY hard work and in no way swanky.

Take the recent royal job vacancy, for example.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge , as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, are on the lookout for an HR advisor.

One look at the job description (which is for maternity leave), and it looks like it's going to be full-on.

There is also no salary advertised, but if you think you might be up for the challenge, the ad says "the role will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle, and provide an exceptional HR generalist service to the organisation, including benefits, recruitment and HR reporting.

"Technical knowledge and experience of HR systems are also required for this appointment."

Then there are all the necessary skills you need to have.

"Applicants must have demonstrable generalist / operational HR experience with an emphasis on employee relations and management coaching.

"Applicants will also have excellent communication skills, together with the ability to build relationships and engage with staff at all levels.
