Netflix is drumming up suspense for season three of Lupin with the release of a teaser. The show is ready to capture the audience’s attention for the third time, drawing fans in with the next adventures of the French heist thriller.
The show’s titular character Assane Diop, played by Omar Sy returns as the thief known as the 21st century Arsène Lupin, as depicted as the gentleman cambrioleur in Maurice LeBlanc’s mystery novels. The third season picks off from the season two finale where Assane is seen finally getting revenge on Hubert Pellegrini for framing his father. According to Netflix, the action almost immediately starts off the third season where Assane has gone into hiding and “must learn to live far from his wife and son. With the suffering they endure because of him, Assane can’t stand it any longer and decides to return to Paris to make them a crazy proposal: leave France and start a new life elsewhere. But the ghosts of the past are never far away, and an unexpected return will turn his plans upside down.”
In the past, Sy has teased the new season will include a larger cast for the thief’s inner circle. Lupin is expected to have more accomplices as the events move forward. Netflix has not yet announced the official premiere date for Lupin season three. Watch the teaser above.
