Pizza Hut Japan and Yamazaki Stack up New Pizza Lunch Pack Sandwiches

Across the globe, Pizza Hut is known for coming up with a variety of quirky innovations and now the Japan chain has created new on-the-go Lunch Pack sandwiches in collaboration with Yamazaki Baking Company. The bread-baking company is one of the largest in the world as they produced about 400 million Lunch Packs with over 150 variations last year.

As most can find cream-filled with fruits or “Paper Tiger” sandwiches around Japan, the duo formed two new flavors based on the pizza chain’s best-selling pies. The Terimayo Chicken Lunch Pack layers chicken filling, teriyaki sauce and cheese mayo sauce in between fluffy white bread slices providing a sweet and spicy experience. For those who prefer a sweet and salty flavor, the Quattro Formage Lunch Pack is stacked with Camembert, mozzarella, Parmesan, and cream cheese filling with a drizzle of maple syrup to bring out the cheesy flavor.

Both Lunch Packs are now available at supermarkets and convenience stores across Japan.

For more interesting Japanese food creations, Krispy Kreme and TGI Friday’s Japan have concocted a Doughnut Burger and Flaming Chicken Sandwich.
