Supreme x South2 West8 Spring 2021 Collaboration

Following the release of its Spring 2021 Tee range last week, Supreme has now returned to its major collaboration series with the unveiling of its Spring 2021 team-up with South2 West8.

Founded back in 2002, the Hokkaido-based NEPENTHES imprint led by Kaname Nagaoka is deeply inspired by Tenkara, a traditional Japanese fly fishing technique that roughly translates to “From the sky” or “From Heaven.” Expressing functional outdoor wear with a distinct stylistic outlook, South2 West8’s garments are designed with utilitarian sensibilities and technical textiles.

The deep collaborative collection features a heavy showing of convertible sets that aim to assist in the dynamic sport of fishing that requires one to adapt to the elements. Standouts include the River Trek Jacket and matching Pants and Jungle Hat, Bush Parka and matching Vest, Pants, Mesh Game Bag, Tulip Hat and Balaclava, along with a barbed wire take on South2 West8’s signature Fleece Jacket and matching Belted Pants. The barbed wire motif graphic is continued on the staple Circle Horn Longsleeve T-shirt style that comes in a variety of two-tone colorways.

Rounding up the collaboration is a co-branded Tenkara Fishing Rod that sees Supreme’s boldly branded red/white color scheme applied to the intuitive minimal rod style that utilizes traditional Japanese hair burrs.

The Supreme x South2 West8 Spring 2021 collaboration will see a global release, available via the streetwear imprint’s website on April 22, 11 a.m. EDT in the United States and April 24, 11 a.m. JST in Japan.
