The Broken Arm has continued its ongoing collaborative partnership with Salomon with the introduction of the X-DESALPES, the ultimate mountain shoe.
The pair — who first linked up back in 2015 — have used this new silhouette to celebrate the cultural wealth of mountains, and the Alps in particular, as well as the traditional mountain-dweller party, the Désalpe, and the return of herds who have been grazing all summer long in high altitude pastures.
The sneaker’s colorway is based on that of a previous model X-Alps Leather GTX Gortex, with metallic grommets taking notes from the flowers found in fir wreaths worn by cows, while an embroidered edelweiss flower houses the sneaker’s tongue.
The X-DESALPES is the perfect concoction of Salomon’s penchant for tackling uneven terrain, combined with the added protection and durability that comes with all-over GORE-TEX coated leather.
