“The Ultimatum” Producer Teases the All-Queer Season 2

When it comes to reality dating shows, Netflix knows what it’s doing. While known for a variety of original films and thrilling documentaries, the streamer is also notorious for its popular (not to mention messy) dating shows, from “Love Is Blind” to “Too Hot to Handle.” The platform’s newest dating series, “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On,” is described by Netflix as “a new social experiment that pushes love, romance and relationships to the next level,” and season one followed in the footsteps of its dating show predecessors and brought viewers all the drama they crave.

The show’s first season debuted on Netflix on April 6, and the second season is coming soon. The biggest difference from season one? It will have an all-queer cast. Chris Coelen, the founder of Kinetic Content (which produces the show) opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about what viewers can expect from season two. He explained, “We’re already well into season two, and it’s amazing. Honestly, it’s so good — stories are so interesting.”

Coelen continued, “The cast of participants in season two is a very different set of participants than we saw on season one. This is a very big, common question, and a huge milestone for people who are interested in getting married. Just setting up the experience and the stakes of that, and then just allowing them to really go through this in the way that makes sense for them. It turned out to be very different, but equally as great, as season one.”

Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming second season!
