Vans' "Surf Supply" Collection Introduces Intriguing Colfax Boot

While many of us recognize Vans for its skateboarding history, its surfboarding credentials are often overlooked — but this is all set to change thanks to Ainara Aymat, Leila Hurst and Karina Rozunko, who have just dropped their Vans “Surf Supply” collection.

The trio of Vans surfers has each applied their distinctive styles and aesthetics to a number of new and old Vans pieces. This head-to-toe collection combines the surfer’s must-have essentials and elevated basics, as well as new pair of boots that are truly unexpected from the sportswear giant.

First up is Ainara’s Colfax Boot, which is a leather, rubber, and webbing mixed-material bootie that nods to Vans’ iconic slip-on silhouette. Served up in an oxblood red shade, we find checkerboard prints on the Chelsea Boot-like throat, as well as a large black rubberized sole unit and sidewall that will take on the elements of the beach.

Leila’s Slip-On SF has been given a “surf twist,” but in essence, it’s really just a slip-on that’s made from smooth creamy-gray suede and is rounded off with a tonal checkerboard running stripe and complementing sidewalls. Rounding out the footwear offerings is Karina’s Style 36 (which is the early version of today’s Old Skool), presenting itself in black leather and suede with gold-toned eyelets and a cream sidewall.

Complementing the sneaker drop is a range of apparel, from high-waisted straight-leg chino pants to a workwear-inspired oversized denim jacket. You can see the whole collection in the lookbook above, and shop the range on Vans’ website and in-stores now.
