When it comes to the rap game, there’s plenty of emcees that were born and bred in Los Angeles, but one can argue that no one reps his city harder than YG. And now the Bompton-bred artist is finding a new way to show off his pride for the City of Angels through a new colorway of his 4Hunnid Block Runner. After dropping in a simple black and white palette, the lifestyle sneaker has been unveiled with a fresh purple and gold combination that pays homage to the LA Lakers.
The uppers — which essentially mimic the shape of the Nike Cortez — are flooded with a regal purple tone. The side logos which replace Swooshes for flame-shaped logos continue the Lakers-friendly motif by getting touched up in golden yellow hue. Laces and the interior lining brings in further contrasting as they are dipped in a clean white. Below, the midsoles are dominated by an angelic background, and come complemented by a sold yellow panel.
Check out a detailed look of the pair up above, and if interested, you can purchase these Block Runners on the 4Hunnid online store come Friday, July 16 for the usual $200 USD.
