Zenith Reveals Its New “Chronomaster Open” Watch Series

Zenith has announced the release of its new “Chronomaster Open” watch, which borrows inspiration from the brand’s vault of early 2000’s time treasures.

Three style versions of the “CO” will be offered, and include a stainless steel option with a silver dial, stainless steel with a black dial, and a rose gold option with a silver dial. Each dial is “open” and comprised of 16 parts, including Zenith’s signature star logo, balance wheel, seconds wheel, escape wheel, and more.

Recently introduced at this year’s Watches & Wonders in Geneva, the addition of a “Caliber 3600” variant, along with 39.5mm and 13.1mm casing, set the new watch apart from its predecessors.

Speaking to Hodinkee about the new addition to the brand, Zenith’s Head of Product Development and Heritage Director, Romain Marietta said: “It’s a very strong concept that was created in 2003 in order to enable clients to understand high frequency [watchmaking]. We had to rework the movement to skeletonize around the escapement position, to enable people to see inside the movement, to see the heartbeat – to help people understand high frequency.”

The “Chronomaster Open” is set to release soon, and will retail for $10,000 USD on the brand’s website.

Meanwhile, Gucci celebrated 50 years of Gucci Swiss Timepieces with “Gucci Wonderland.”
